Not a total noob but need help with Navigo

Hi guys I have a Navigo, a very old one, maybe 2/3 years old, installed TomTom a very long time ago and needs a update.

The Navigo shows that application version is 7.450 (9028) and Maps are UK & Ire v720.1802. I know my 10 digit device ID code.

I have downloaded the following maps but I dont know what to do after this roud: so any help appreciated and what map I should use.

TomTom United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 855 2884
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_830_2307

Usually the best method (if you can easily 'get' maps) is connect to TomTom home & update your Navigo's TomTom with the latest version. Then 'get' the latest maps that are compatible with the new version of TomTom you have. Patch your new TomTom then the maps for your device (Muppet Proof Keygen is really straightforward IMHO)

PS: are maps supose to be hard to find? perhaphs I got the wrong stuff but their are loads on usnet sites.

Hi guys, I tried to look for TomTom Home but no luck so I downloaded the Zoo folder with the guides in and it said to copy mobilenavigator and the maps to the root.

I did not have the file mobilenavigator so downloaded TT7910 on the forum which appears to be the latest, correct me if I am wrong, and added the map files I had (TomTom United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 855 2884).

I now get a new TomTom One 3rd Ed splash startup screen but then it goes on to says I don't have maps, displaying a message I can get 1 free maps etc and when I follow the instruction hoping to get to a part where it will ask for voucher code etc as per the guides I get iexplore error.

Guys any help appreciated. I think my maps are not compatible.

Did you try the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_830_2307 map you mentioned earlier? Pretty sure that's compatible with TT7.910 (I've got an 830_2306 map which works with TT7.910)

I don't think I tried that. Ill do that now and let you know HH. Just a question, why can't I use the new maps and I downloaded BBS tools, not sure what the hell to do with it but its says meta is outdated. What the hell is that for?

Do you know if its possible to get the newer maps to work as my city had new roads and juctions put through and this map don't show them.

Can't find a compatibilty table for 855.2884 maps so can't say for definite they won't work but the other one should, hopefully.
Never used BBS tools mate so can't help.
Personally I've used Muppet Proof Keygen & TomTom FastActivate and I can recommend them, really straightforward.

edit: found this elsewhere but can't verify it 100%

Europe 855.2885 map only runs on navcore version 9.02x and higher.

No probs mate, I'm learning about this stuff too.
Just for info, from what I can see your TomTom United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 855 2884 map needs Navcore 8.2 or higher.

Going to sound like a noob lol but whats Navcore. I just thought it was all to do with the tomtom version you have and what maps can work with.

Think (?) it's basically the version of Tom Tom you have but strictly speaking it's the heart of it. So the Tom Tom you download might be 50mb in size but the Navcore part of it might be only 10mb, rest of it voices/art/POI's/postcodes etc. Again this is only what I think it is, not 100% sure.
