Got the box working and all set up the picture quality is good!!

Yea the lack of EPG is annoying but I'm getting amazing quality tv for £47!!

I'm glad I went with it as a starter box, if I want a another box something a bit more you know!! Then i'll well this box to my mate

He was impressed!

Just need to rename the favourites now!

I got a bit of sync issue last night not sure what that's about.

Also YouTube app doesn't work but the Youporn does

Something got me thinking!!

Since I have to feeds coming from my sly dish, one going into the slybox and one just not plugged into anyhting.

Could i connect the spare back into the sly+ box to get EPG info as in just switch HDMi source?

Or even better get another slybox and connect one feed to each which will enable me to record on one box while watching the other??

Yes but will need 2 lines if sharing.

It is a shame that it can't do the 7 day epg because that's all that it's lacking in basic features wise.

Why can't you view now and next in a grid or in a list?

But looking at finances it's going to have to do me until I can afford something better.

2 lines are card sharing lines.
The 2 lines you have from dish are feeds.
You will not be able to run 2 boxes from one cs share as it will keep logging you in/out.
And the provider may terminate your share.

Sorry it was mainly about just connecting to boxes so I could see the epg on the sky box then decide what to watch on the Slybox

Yes you could connect your old sly+ box to the other feed if you wanted, or another openbox. You'd need to ask 'your guy' about two lots of ecm's what phone do you have? there are plently of tv guide apps that will give you a 7 day epg including slys official sly+ app

IMO those boxes are only good enough for bedroom etc not main viewing as epg lets them down big time.

I had one in the bedroom but the tv is only 26 inch so i replaced it with the 500s when the commando image was released. HD is waisted on a 26 inch tv so epg won the battle hands down
