I am interested in motorised satelite and have some questions:

Does anyone know a web site that explains the basics, including terminology?

A 1m motorised dish can this be placed on a poll attached to chimmney or does it need to be on the ground, and which direction does the dish rotate horizontally or both horizontally and vertically?

Sorry for the obvious questions but you got to start some where.

the motorised dish can be located in most places ie: ground,wall. flat roof.maybe not a chimney because of the winds

the dish rotates in a eliptical way it follws satellite belt we in this hemisphere use west-south-east in other words as it moves from west to south the elevation becomes higher then south to east is reduces again
