new memory

i want to ungrade my ram from 64 mb to 128 or higher but this is the silly bit i don't know what type of memory i should get to match my motherboard and what speed my processor work at as the computor was brought from an old work collegue 2 years ago. How do i find out as he now lives in oz.<br /> and what is the best type of cache memory to have as there sems to be different types on the market. any help gratefully accepted as i am a miser and don't want to pay some prat from hurry's or mixons loads to do a simple job.

well m8 it most probley is sd-ram (66mhz)at the moment ram is quite cheap somethink like £20 for 256 meg. But if ur still not sure take it with u when u go to buy some and they will tell u.

check in you control panel under system settings and then you will see your processor speed, type, and memmory. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
