network stack is missing or corrupt

does anyone know what this is and what it means my m8 is getting it on his computer trying to get online via ntl he cant get on thanks

Maybe the TCP/IP is no longer bound to the network connection, it should be installed automatically though. Check by comparing with the picture.

Try uninstalling whatever is in the list and the ones that are needed should automatically reinstall.

Could also try uninstalling the network interface hardware in device manager in system, it should be reinstalled on reboot.

What OS is he using, not Windoze ME is it?

no m8 its xp.... i have just been round there and i looked it up and the nearest i could find was ad-aware destroys some of the files needed and he has ad-aware so maybe in the end thats what has happened i just done a restore point on him and all is ok but i had never heard of it before thanks m8
