Hello and welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Could you confirm that both network devices have drivers installed. In the case of the wi-fi, is it also switched on?

as above and if all good try this:

open command prompt or type cmd in search.... then type ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew ..... if that works good :) if not check the tcp/ip protocols are working by pinging yourself ... to do that try this ...... type ping 127.0.0.0 see if you get any replies (should be 4) if not you need to check services for the dns and dhcp

I've seen that so many times with laptops it's unreal....

how ever when you connecting it via your lan that should really kick in, is it getting an IP address dished out by DHCP, hasn't been given a static IP maybe outside of your range....

Can we assume you posted from another computer on the same network? If so, we eliminate the LAN, Wifi and Internet and the problem lies with the Tosh.

Run ipconfig /all from a command prompt on the working computer then do the same on the Tosh. The only difference should be the IP address, everything else should be the same...
