NDSTT keeps crashing

Hi Guys
Been a while since I done these but got a friend a DSTT for xmas. Downloaded latest firmware(1.17a12) & have a 2GB Micro SD formatted to FAT32.
When removing card from Pc(Usb adapter) I always use safe removal option.
Originally put about 20 games on the card(2/3rd full) but it kept crashing so I re-formatted it and only put about 15 games back on, however it still keeps crashing.
Should I put earlier firmware on or less games on the card?
Or even any other ideas?

could be a faulty download go to ndstt site and get it there and go to link for happydone version as have done about 8 last month and have had no problems with that
it doesnt come with all the shit othersites do just all files you need

Thanx - I'll try that version - It's where I've downloaded all versions from before.
