motorised set up db 500s

hi guys just put my sat up today with motor ive set it to 0.8 w thor now when i go onto another sat say for instance 28.2 east it comes up on my screen moving motor to 28.2 e but its not moving the motor but if i go to satfind in the settings and click on 28.2 e the motor then moves to astra have i done something wrong or do you have to set the box up some way i have dreambox 500s

Hi M8

Set the rig facing true south as close as you can get it.
( thor 1w will do ) Leave the bolts loose enouth so you can
swing the rig on the pole. ( not too loose ) Then send your
dish to 13e on channel bbc world. It will either go past the
sat or drop short. Leave the dish where it is and then move
the whole rig either left or right till you get a picture. If the
rest of your rig is set correctly you are just about there.
Tighten the bolts down. Now send the dish to the other sats
one at a tme using usals on manual search. Once you have
done this, you will have to do a lttle tweaking here and there
untill you get it bang on.

i have similar setup ,,when i set it up all i had to do was choose the right setup option (many satelites) and put my co ordinates 53deg north 3 west ..finds everything now mate ..hope it helps
