FAKE NEWS!

You can say anything you like against the Government but if you have a platform like Lineker you need to take care what you say. Having a chat between a few friends and posting on Twitter where you are followed by X amount of people are totally different. His views are just that, his views, but could very well influence many of his followers to adopt his views.

Comparing Gov't policy on illegal immigrants to Nazi policies could be seen as spreading hate. Apparently he has already confided to a colleague that he went over the top with that remark. Pity he's not man enough to state that publicly.

Like you said when you’re in the public eye, you have to be careful on what you say and especially comparing anything that the government does to the Nazis is asking for trouble.
I think he should be allowed to state an opinion publicly on the matter, but don’t use the Nazis as a comparison. 🙄

So isn't the Gov't policy on illegal immigrants seen as spreading hate.?

Personally, think there is no room in sport for politics. Also, these pundits are well overpaid. Get rid and replace with newer faces on less money, like they did with Top Gear. Maybe reduce the TV licence fee with the money saved.
