Nokia dbox2 netrino 2xI tried loads of images-sporster mainly
no transponders no channels
sportster ultra counts up to 180 transponders but finds no channels on scan
loaded xml`s etc

I think it is either

A) faulty tuner
B) no tv signal on cable (i only subscribe to ntl broadband)

some say if you have broadband you WILL have tv- they are both fed
some say tv might be turned off as you don`t subscribe

what is correct?
I don`t know anyone with cable ntl to test box on

lost???

If you have bb then the channels are there too, if you are not getting any channels it may be worth trying a booster from argos cat No 534/4228 6.99 as it has worked for some ppl.

@ecmnco
Check the boot log.
You can see error messages for a complete dead tuner in the log output.
Next step is to connect the TV/VCR coax output to your TV. Switch on the box and do a channel search for the analogue channels on your TV. If you get a clear picture for the analogue channels the input part of the tuner is ok.

Connect your cable feed.
You are checking the signal path for the cable signal.
