I kept getting the FAIL message and couldn't work out what was up, first of all i thought it might of been that my router was giving it single digit end of i.p as in miniweb quide it says it will show you last 2 digits, so i tried giving it just double digit i.p's but that still didnt work, but i've managed to get it working now by changing the router i.p

anyone who is getting the mini-web FAIL error and has their router running on > 192.168.0.1

you need ot change it to be 192.168.1.1

and to give out i.p addresses as

192.168.1.2
192.168.1.3...

this should fix it and get mini-web working, has for me atleast, just thought i should make a thread about it as i've seen couple other people say they couldn't get it working.

press the LAN button on the remote, at the top should be the receivers IP address, it should look like 192.168.1.8

at the bottom it should also say external ip 90.10.**.*** (blanked for your security ;))

what is the IP address at the TOP of the screen

Hi
Thanks
I did press Lan from my remote
it says IP 192.168.0.6 and a tick mark on DHCP
name server 192.168.0.1
gateway 192.168.0.1
it does'nt say external IP but says static IP and
starts with 92.10.***.**
i got the latest soft version on TM 600
rel 2.0.23
date 06/08/09 linux(2.6.9)

Thanks for u r kind efforts!

ok m8, youll have to lgoogle your router, and change the 192.168.0 to 192.168.1

im just off out for few hours, but if you cant do it, ill look up step by step instructions for you

looks like your router is still running on "192.168.0.1" from what you've pasted

think this is the default webui for that router so should be the same as these settings

Eventhough it did appear only one digit at the front panel of TM 600 but it works

Just to confirm, has everyone who has had this issue got a Netgear router?

Netgear's IP is defaulted as 192.168.0.1, so you have had to change the TM Linux box to 192.168.1.1 in order to make Mini-Web work, correct?

If this is the issue and my understanding is correct, we'll get underway!

it looks like the tm will only accept dchp for the miniweb if the routers IP is 192.168.1.1, people who have sky broadband, their router IP is also 192.168.0.1 and i had to change the router settings to enable all of my equipment to work properly
