Hi

How do you configure mgcamd on these boxes? Iv always used CCcam to connect using a N line. Looked everywhere but cant find anything.

Iv got newcamd.list and entered line as CWS and also tried N:
iv got mgcamd (not sure if need to change anything in here)

forgot to mention using open atv enigma2 image

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi, Go to plugins download mgcamd 135 , go to var , keys folder you need cccamd.list file with line and a mg_cfg file.
Hope this helps.

Hi there are no cams in plugins menu available in ATV image.
You will need to download mgcam ipk and FTP to temp and install via software manager.
You will need to ftp confg files as well.

Thanks

Im testing this on a dm500hd using openpli. Installed mgcamd from plugin.

In the newcamd.list i entered

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000
CWS = MYLINE

Now on the box it has a ecm time and says the server name but nothing clears? switch to cccam it all works.

Want to test on here to make sure im doing right. Any ideas?

You need to set up your mgcam confg file correctly and make sure it's in correct place.

Hi

Thanks for this. Bit of a update. Got it working on the dreambox. Moved back to Amiko alien 2

Installed mgcamd 1.38d

copied over my line to newcamd.list. when I got to software panel it shows the cam as active and I get ECM info. But no channels clear.

My mg_cfg is the same as above with the b (06)

thanks

try this mg_cfg it's for openatv

cheers yeah i found this 1 online. With this file it is the only one that gives me ecm info. but it still does not want to clear channels. iv tested my line using cccam and using N format and it works fine. Iv even tried rebooting restart cam still nothing wants to clear. free channels work fine so tuner is ok. Used rats bouqets to download latest list so they are ok. Tested on dreambox using mgcamd and it connects.

The Amiko alien 2 does not have the same CPU as a dreambox so B:06 in the config wont work and im not 100% sure what value will work.

Try them all reboot after you have saved the config and see which value clears the channel

i got it working but used oscam.

used cccam to oscam converter and worked straight away.

in the mg config file, why does the log have that IP address? In the L: section

I'm not certain but it's probably from the old days.

It's not needed nowadays and you're better off without it as some home routers don't like it.

Use:

L: { 00 }

instead to prevent logging.
