Mgcamd setup

Would never think for one minute that would give me a file to kill my box,but you know the old saying if its not broke don't fix it ;)

Apart from the fact I only use Mgcamd with keys,and thats not very often so I dont need to experiment,

Have you done any research to understand why your changes helped your box run better when using mgcamd?

Did you run it in debug mode to see what was happening with and without the changes or was it trial and error?

TBH its all trial and error as that can take to long but have stat's as to the improvments, with out till to much the best way we know to test is the have bad bandwidth to do some tests, im being told to say no more but can say that we are starting a place for pep's like you and Abu to get in and try some things your self, only good peps like you and Abu and rat if he wants? will get invite and as you know this is only talk and we realy dont know anything about cuript just folling around and ill def be talking sh1t again to you's ;) but all that silly talk aside would you like me to make a small change to that file for you?

The problem here is I know what you are not saying,it's what you are saying that's not very clear?

If mgcamd is not going to be used to work around the new pairing method then why optimize it?

can explane better when in room, theres an old saying you need room to grow ;)

The only differnces between Wiz's one and the one you posted on 21/07/2013 are the values for

G and F

I use the values Wiz has provided for those entries.

hello
Abu

thanks for the help with the nano, before he brought the box to mine i thought it was crap but as you point'd out it had old image from TM, there a good we box, i got him to get the caddy kit for the fan to keep it cool, TM only charged £5 for it as was bought with box but is £10 on its own, would go for single for recording though?

sorry i did't say that right, at the mo Mgcamd at the mo wont be able to be used as we are fully aware as you are probly too but this is why we are trying to make it more useable when the time comes cant say any more than that but certain that there can be things like fi1esque3z1ng could be a way to work with diferentkan's would be far better talking though pm's ;)

In the interest of fairness I have tried both my original cfg and slyboxhd's changes and the only difference is that with slyboxhd's one you cannot use clines,because of his G: { 01 } instead of G: { 33 }
this I already knew but thought I would just double check,as for this change

# map all 180x nagra caids to 1801
# default is 01
F: { 00 }

All this does is make mgcamd either treat all 180x caids as 1801 or else as the originals 1810,1802 etc etc,as its just an on/off trigger

And I think this harks back to when mgcamd could only process 1801 caid but it can now process more 180x caids

So thats my conclusion :)
