Manchester United thread

:fredthered: :roflmao:

Miggy you won't get any complaints, job done for City and Arsenal are ready to roll over and have their belly tickled too.
It's yours to win now, right up until the point that Chelsea win it.

No trophy selfie

Plucky Man United fans are to raise millions of pounds for cancer charities by photographing themselves without a trophy.

After another abject surrender to bitter rivals Man City, brave supporters of the once-great club are lining up to be snapped next to their soon-to-be-empty trophy cabinet.

Thousands of loyal fans throughout southern England threw their collective weight behind the #notrophyselfie hashtag, which was immediately trending in throughout Surrey and the home counties.

With social networks flooded by United fans sharing photos with forced smiles in a vain attempt to conceal the fact that they are dying on the inside, the new trend has been welcomed throughout football.

Many United followers have tagged their fellow fans in the hope they too will share a #notrophyselfie .

Upon seeing a selfie, United fans can text the word “BEAT” to 90096 to donate as much as five pounds to a cancer charity of their choice, or the World Wildlife Fund.

However, many United fans claim they received an instant text message reply which read “Beat who exactly? Certainly no one in the top six.”
Man Utd selfies

Due to the massive similarity between the words BEAT and BEAR, fat-handed fans who adore polar bears were dismayed to learn they had texted their cash to not-so-cute-looking cancer victims.

Meanwhile, many of the club’s sufferers have likened David Moyes’ reign to an expensive but ultimately ineffective course of chemotherapy.

Man United season ticket holder Simon Williams told us, “Since Moyes took over I’ve been tearing my hair out in great big clumps.”

“People keep hugging me and ask me how long I’ve got.”

sorry not sure why it double posted.

Manchester United's televised games have now been moved to the adult porn channel.... Aparently the sight of 11 arseholes being hammered for 90 mins is a bit explicit for Sky Sports.:proud:

Excuse me if I am missing something.....Isn't Moyes' first success as Man U manager the 2013 Charity Shield not a trophy?

Man Utd finally pick up 3 points at home thanks to Old Trafford speed camera

Old Trafford Three points

David Moyes hopes his Manchester United side have turned a corner having been gifted 3-points at home after the club’s team bus was flashed by an Old Trafford speed camera during a training session joyride.

The former Everton Scotsman is said to have forced the entire first team on to the vehicle during an early morning training session before making off towards the Theatre of Dreams.

Speaking through an interpreter, the only member of Sir Alex Ferguson’s back-room team to keep his post, Moyes recounted how his tactics had finally came to fruition.

He told reporters, “The lads turned up for training a little sheepish following the home defeat to City and were astonished to find me up front in the team bus.”

“I encouraged them to board the vehicle in rigid banks of four, with a huge goalpost width gap right through the middle so I could walk through messing things up if needs be.”

“I instructed our only World Class player to drop deep, or move to any where but his optimum boarding position.”
Man United get the points

Moyes went on, “It was chaos for all of 90 minutes.”

“But once boarded I floored it to Old Trafford and we came away with the three points.”

In the days that I was an Old Trafford regular (League Match Ticket Book, a season ticket for the terraces) apart from the City results, I would have considered this a good season.
A trip to Wembley at the start of the season and winning the Charity Shield, a European Cup Quarter Final (Champions League) to look forward to and in the top half of the table with 8 games left to the end of the season.
Mind you, the players were approachable and would happily have a drink with you and their wages were only about 4 or 5 times that of my own ! So, maybe they still appreciated that we paid their wages at the gate............................Most fans now will never have the opportunity to socialise with their idols and will never earn in their life time what a player will earn in a single season, perhaps that's why we now expect instant success because the only real connection with a club and it's players a fan now has is being able to celebrate success.

Manchester United fans have clubbed together to hire a plane that will fly over Old Trafford during the Villa game with a banner attached calling for David Moyes to be sacked ! This follows the 0-3 drubbing from City where stewards were called upon to guard the chosen one banner as angry match goers threatened to rip it down. Angry fans were also said to have given Ferguson a piece of their mind and an angry fan was photographed angrily yelling and gesticulating towards David Moyes.

Manchester United manager David Moyes says even Sir Alex Ferguson would have struggled with ageing squad
David Moyes faces his first public display of supporters' protest in Manchester United's clash with Aston Villa, but says his ageing squad would have tested any manager

Manchester United manager David Moyes says even Sir Alex Ferguson would have struggled with ageing squad - Telegraph

The sooner this lunatic is removed from his tenure the better, I have gone from give him 3 years to ahh it's the fixtures, things will improve, to what the actual ****, and finally into hey perhaps we might scrape a win against Villa tomorrow.

The final straw really, he's spent the early part of the year blaming the fixtures, when the tough fixtures ran out he turned to bad luck, next was the players and bad luck, finally it's bad luck, the players, an ageing squad and Fergusons fault. He's lost the plot I am afraid and it's time he left with some dignity in tact.
Yes the squad needs attention, two top quality midfielders and a left back desperately required, he's spent 70m and delivered none of what's been in need, Fellaini is a midfielder no better than the like we already have, stick him in as a useful squad player, Mata is a superb player in a position we're already stacked. Moyes has spent the season convincing us (and likely himself) that this squad is shit, well it's not shit David, the manager, the coaches you dragged from Everton are and it's apparent your all well and truly out of your depth.
Let's go through the mini lift of narrowly beating a rather mediocre side before being destroyed by a good one again this week, we've become accustomed to it throughout this horror show of a season, Manchester United has no divine right to win everything but this is beyond ridiculous now. Moyes out.

Rant over ish

Here's what the twat was claiming before any of the really shit football began.

If it's true that he said that then he just lost any respect I may have still had for him,

Yes the team needed rebuilding but Ferguson would have rebuilt it while still keeping us in with a shout of winning the title,

It's hard to see him still having Ferguson backing now

He's lost the plot wiz, we've apparently a 150m warchest and this blokes being given the keys, Christ it's been like a myth this elusive warchest and when it finally turns up David mess it up Moyes has the keys, i wouldn't trust him to nip down the shop and buy me a mars. This nightmare has to end before we erase one hundred and fifty million quid.

Who would you go for, as next manager? One that we could actually get that is ;)

I think we'll win today with ease, but if we don't.... My god Moyes will need a helicopter on hand to get him out of that stadium quick-fast!

Klopp has expressed a desire to manage in the prem, huge character and has a visible football philosophy, he would be my number one. Van Gaal is another one, proven at the top but not quite so keen. Simeone has Athletico flying, top of La Liga and again a huge character and yes @Cressi at this point Benitez would be quite an upgrade.

Supposedly a group of supporters will be at the game today wearing Klopp masks, the circus is well and truly underway.
It's been clear a few months now that the management team is out of its depth but this bull we've been peddling that we give managers time is biting us on the arsenal.
We've only ever offered time to successful managers who show clear signs of moving in the right direction, Busby, Atkinson and Ferguson are the only ones who managed a stay of more than 5 years. Wilf McGuiness was sacked within the year after replacing Sir Matt. The worrying one is Dave Sexton, a dull yet nice man who's football mirrored his character, United fans were treated to four years of mediocrity under him, remind anyone of anyone ?

That's a great question, my own feeling on this is that nobody will step onto Fergie's toes & get rid of Moyes - at least not until next summer anyway.

He deserves a chance at signing decent players, nobody on that side other than Rooney has broke sweat for him.

I don't personally see him there come 15/16, but I do think he deserves a shot at next season.

Times are bad, but who would you put in?? - I honestly can't think of anyone available.

We've shown a pattern of beating mediocre sides only to be walloped by anyone decent, West Brom, Liverpool, West Ham, City, we will beat Villa today, probably look convincing here and there but have massive defensive lapses and then we will go on to get royally hammered in the Alliance arena.

Moyes has huge problems ahead after today, Bayern away, Newcastle away, Bayern home, Everton away. 4 losses on the trot not out of his reach and another anti record to break.

They are the pleas of a man desperate to hold onto his job, he is blaming anything and everything but still trying to convince himself that his tenure is fully supported by the board.
The rumours of the "Class of '92" takeover bid gives food for thought, but the reality of it actually happening does seem a little bid unlikely, still we can always hope and dream !

Yes he's sounding like he's lost the plot, what does a manager do only days before the biggest game of his club career ? Lays into his squad for being to old and bemoans the man that has a huge say over his future employment.

The class of 92 takeover was a confused story, they have completed their takeover on Thursday but it was of Salford FC. The two Nevs, Scholes, Butt and Beckham have jointly funded it, Becks is distanced from it as he already owns a club in the US.

Yep, but if he does lose those games... not even Fergie will save him from the fans rage.
