Old news but massive find, would'nt have been comprehendable to even find or extract 20+yrs ago.How technology and techniques move/improve.

I like this paragraph best.............................

Geologists say the discoveries challenge one of the notions of the peak oil theory, which claims oil companies already have found nearly all of the world's usable oil.

true, but it wont start producing oil untill 2011, and then wont reach maximum output until 2020 apparently. I wonder if all the UK hauliers can wait that long?

The bigger issue in the UK is taxation of fuel, the government are smoke screening the fact with claims that crude etc is in short supply.

the production of oil is decreasing, I dont think the government are saying its scarce at all at the moment - otherwise they would have rationed it.

The point is that its harder to get due to the instability of the regions it is coming from and that overuse harms the environment.
