Hi guys,

Just had my fttc installed and I was given a crappy re-branded netgear from my ISP. Im looking around for a decent replacement router (possibly one with dd-wrt as an option) just wondering if anyone can recommend a cheap one? Half tempted with the Cisco Linksys E900 but being a tight @ss Im sure I could get something which is very good for sub £20 - suggestions please

As always - thank you :)

Looking around myself at the moment.

WNDR4300 seems pretty good and has an DD-WRT image which can be loaded. Don't think you will get something sub £20 though, more like sub £100.

Similar routers in the range but I would check in turn.

I read somewhere to stay clear of the E900..

I picked up 2 Cisco E2000 for under 20 quid each on ebay and stuck tomato firmware on them.

router is both 5gh and 2.4ghz wifi but not simulatanious

See if you can pick up a draytek vigor of ebay. They are fully configurable and have tonnes of firmware revisions available.
