Logo design - can anyone help please?

Hi,

Im looking to design a logo for my side line IT Consultancy job. As Im just starting out Im hesitant to spend any money and was wondering if anyone is willing to knock me one up or point me in the best direction on how to create one?

Thanks and not to sound ungrateful but I was looking for something a little bit more professional looking. Its pretty much select a picture change the colour on that one.

How about looking here and picking something along the lines of the logo you like and modifying it slightly?

That's really strange as it showed as a new post to me, as I always click on mark forums read before I leave the site, so it's somehow popped up as a new one yesterday, along with the other 8 or 9 posts since I was last on
