we are in a reccession shop around for an installer and a good price, anyone asks you for more then 200 notes to supply and fit a motorised dish 90cm tell em to fook off lol.
there are technomate receivers for less than 70 that are share capable, many installers will have these in there vans lol.

Now i know it seems odd in a cable section to be reading people mentioning satellite just because N3 is coming - make no mistake this is infact the end of modified original equipment and cards!! for a very long time to come!! therefore if you wish to retain your chanel selections ect you need to consider alternatives unless of course you want to join the queue of people waiting for legit virmin installs and paying through the nose. No point in beating around the bush very very soon now your glichers will all be useless to you as will your modified cable receivers - it may be that c/s makes its way into cable in short while - but remeber this while your buying your HD receivers for cable, that aint happening anytime soon for HD services. Even for C/S you will need the RSA keys same as satellite - these are pulled from original equipment usually with jtag or chip dumping.
what vermin hd box you know that is dumpable?

for everyone that is thinking they have a long period before the full switch - think again they will drop this on you very quickly. They won't want to go through April without having completed the full switch in all area's.

This is just my opinion and may not be worth a carrot

I've not fiddled with netids so I don't know if this will work but it might be possible to change your netid to a near by area that is not affected by N3 to see if you can clear the channels you've lost.

don't think that works mate, I've had boxes that woudln't work unless it was set to the NetID of your area. could be wrong tho.
Not that fused about it all now, The end is coming would of been better if it was in 2012 as the conspiracy nuts would have a field day.
it's been a good ride, I have paid for Cable and just did it as a hobby, extra boxes for kids or family. I think ppl who haven't even took up the basic sub with VM are the reason for this shift. It's to common now with how to get Cable, everyone seems to be at it and even just using google would give you in the info and files. So don't blame VM 1 bit in taking steps to stop it.
Im moving to sky now, cos i have got a good offer, plus i wanna see HD channels which Virgin can't really match.
Still gonna keep my virgin boardband and phone.
The 3.7 update hasn't hit me yet but guess it will by Jan/march as no problems have been noticed with the update in leeds. so no reason for VM to not roll it out nationwide.

I think to many ppl who are the real coders, they will see this as a new chapter and where the fun begins in trying to crack it.

not got a full list but all of the sky sports. sky movies, and all the +1 channels except the animal planet have gone.
as for the netids forget it , i did try the west yorks id but it did not pick up any channels, i think one of the problems for leeds is as we are ex cw , bradford next door was ex tw so i would have thought they were on different ids anyway, may work if you are in a pure area and searching other pure areas.
will try later on another ex cw and see if that works but to be honest i cannot see it.
i think unless this is ever cracked , stick them in the loft and give vermin or sly a ring.
good while it lasted, and thanks to the guys who have made this possible in the past .

for a start no one appears to have a fookin subbed card lmfao - i very much doubt there is even 1 card to every 10 people watching free tv lol.
No doubt given recent happenings in the cable scene testers will be falling over themselves to come out of retirement to implement c/s on cable. No doubt in the spare time they will have they will get around to reversing the hd boxes as well lol. As has been proven many times - it doesn't matter how much peeps think about getting something for free, it does not neccessarily follow that it materialises from anything less than moving on to the next level - which is actually doing something about it

It's ok to say you can cs one of these n3 cards but they need to be in original boxes to talk back etc. N3 cards can be shared on satellite we know but they are not paired to their boxes for talk back etc.
