This could sort my problem i need a cheap laptop preferably swap my desktop for one any thing considered. must be compatible with wireless network. Im gona try mairyhinges idea and see if it helps my situation.

I dont know why I dident think of this before even the misus thinks its a good compromise. she says i can watch a program called coronation street with her never heard of it before is it any good.

It did work in my situation m8

All you need m8 is a Lappy with a PCMCIA slot....and whack xp on it...for ease of setup and a usb adapter for the main PC...

Takes 5 mins to set-up...

You are both together for meaninful conversation while you surf, and not hiding in the office/study.
