I want to buy a new SSD drive for my laptop, but there are so many to pick...

Does not have to be massive in size I think 120GB would be good I just want to make this laptop a work laptop as its got a nice big screen, it is an old DELL M150 XPS.

I have had this laptop for years, but the HARD DRIVES Always fail...

So something Reliable and not to expensive :)

I have seen this from ebay, just wondered is this even compatible??

KINGSTON SSDNow V300 - Solid state drive - 120 GB... | eBay

Thanks for any help

Regards
Mick

The ebay SSD is a good drive but over priced at nearly £90 - ebuyer have it for just over £60.

If it's a SATA I (aka SATA 150) laptop it won't make much difference which SSD you go for, the limiting factor will be the SATA controller of the laptop rather than the SSD.

I've four predecessors of the M500 drive, the RealSSD C300, but I'm going to suggest the Samsung 840 Evo for ~£10 more: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

That is unless your laptop is only SATA I. In which case, go for the M500.

don't know this model of laptop mick but I'm almost sure there will be a cover on the bottom of it where you can access the fan so you can clean it out MOST have this cover worth a look m8 it all helps.
