Laptop Recommendation

Any of you kind gents recommend me a laptop for my lad that is about to start secondary school? Budget £400 to £450 and don't mind a refurb. Not for gaming, just something decent that will last.

my concern would be it has only 4GB RAM, ideally 8 GB. Cost about 25 quid for an additional 4 GB

You will get better performance with 8gb but it will still run ok with 4gb ram. Me personally would opt for 8gb.

Go to any reliable shopping site like ebay and amazon and compare different laptops based on your requirements/ specifications. Choose the one that suits your budget here. And, don't forget to read the reviews, especially for after sales services.
