when i go to do a scan i have to pick my area now im in gloucester and thats not in the list so i go for birmingham it scans but only find some of the channels does anyone know what area close to gloucester i would pick

u need to go to the dedicated website - satdownloads

gloucester is telewest area,go to instalation menu,provider and choose telewest and scan this will then scan when scan finished put receiver in stand by mode for an hour or watch bbc1 for a while and channels will eventually come on.

No need to go to satdownloads you can get help on here for the kryptview on the alternative receiver section it is well supported here. Look for this net id and you should be ok TW 40971

if you didnt get all the channels mate, use aztec. thats the bristol one. Works perfect for me.
