Just got my box

Had some problems with freezing after I scanned for channels but strangely this cleared up after pressing the red + blue buttons

i haven't got a serial cable yet but I'd like to
1 save my bouquet
2 stream to my pc

can I do the above via the ethernet port?
if so what programs do you recommend?

and out of curiosity can i change the image without the serial connector?

by the way, i'm really glad i got this now, the epg systems is miles better than the n*l's pace box plus all the other bits n tricks i'd be able to do with this box, all in all its a lot more fun

you can do all the above without a null modem cable; its all via the ethernet port.

to save your bouquet, simply use your FTP program to transfer the files named services.xml and bouquets.xml from the /var/config/zapit directory on the box, to a folder on your PC.

to stream to PC, have a quick look around the forum and especially the download section where theres a guide.

to change your image, just upload the .img file to the /tmp folder on the box via FTP, and flash it using the on-screen menus. This is convered in my tutorial, which is a sticky in the downloads.
