is black wii diffrent to mod

can someone tell me if modding a black wii ver 4.3 is diffrent as i read somethin and i am unsure
i have only modded 2 wii but it seem it got all around my family and they all want thier wii done and i dont want to mess up

except black wii's have disk drives that cannot play backup's.

but you'll be good if using a usb loader..

cheers again do that mean the white ones that i have done already can play backup discs

some can, (older consoles).

there is a site somewhere that that can tell what drive you have in your wii by using your seriel number, i will see if i can find it again.

its not ideal tbh.
dvd backups transfer information much slower than proper games. this means you get "loading" messages popping up during gameplay.
also the dvd drive works very hard, constantly starting and stopping...
don't think the drive would last too long.. lol

the wii's you have softmodded, do they have a channel with a spinning disk?
