iPhone iphone 3g 8gb

hi

i have had my phone for about 8 or 9 months and it is jailbroke , today i looked at phone and it had no service on it where my 02 3g normally is so i tried to turn off and back on but it just stays on apple logo hen booting?
ivbe tried the hold two buttons to reset but does exactly the same , sticks on logo?

any help or ideas please guys?

hi mate just Turn the device completely off and disconnect it from cable/dock.
Hold down the home button.
While holding down the home button connect to a computer with a cable .
Keep holding down the home button until you see a connect-to-itunes screen You are now in recovery mode. then use tinyumbrella [URL="http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/"]HERE and on the right hand side u will see the option kick out of recovery mode.
see how you get on mate 1st last think you wanna do is restore your iphone , if this doent work we will sort that part out.

ive updated it now and restored lost everything!
