iPad iPad 4 iTunes sync greyed out

Got iPad 4 for Christmas updated to the latest firmware 7.0.4 as I wanted the 12 days of Christmas it wouldn't let me install until the update but it will not connect to my PC to sync my stuff

Good old apple

The sync to computer is greyed out also the iPad doesn't show up

Is this a common issue with the latest ISO

Sync will be greyed out if iTunes can't see it - it's not in the devices list in the left hand column.

Reboot the iPad, connect to a different USB port with a different cable if u have one. Use an original apple lead if you have one - non-apple cables are notoriously rubbish

You'll know its connecting as you'll hear the USB 'bing' connected noise. Sounds hardware related (PC, USB ports, cable) rather than iPad related - no need to rip apple straight away

Restart your PC and that should sort it.

Thanks all sorted it was iTunes on the PC had to uninstall and delete everything the fresh install sorted it
