Hello,

I am going to reimage my DM800 with a newer image soon, but i want to backup my current image so if something goes wrong, i can restore it, but i want to know how to do it.

I have got DCC, but when i go on backup, the button is greyed out. I've been reading up and it said to use FlashWizard Pro, so i tried that and it just gets stuck on "Reading Jffs2 Partition..." and nothing happens.

If someone could help I would appreciate it.

Regards,

Sam.

Flashwizard does not work with Enigma2 boxes mate.

There are various plugins around to back up your 800 to usb or hard drive.

The one I tend to use is Dflash.

Is needs installing on the 800 and running from there, have a go if you get stuck let us know.

Can I just ask if yours is a original box or a clone ? dflash works with both but it helps us if you need further help.

Aah no wonder it;s not working haha.

It's more than likely a clone. (Sorry i'm still a newbie to this all)

I'll have a look at Dflash. Google is the answer to everything :p haha

Thanks alot

Ive not used Dflash
does it backup the SSL file too @Ferret so no need to flash SSL when backup is used ?

it should be in set up mate

not in plugins

setup> scroll to flashing & backup

@Rat

Yes it does mate backs up the ssl so need need to flash the bootloader after flashing your backup, my favourite backup tool for clone and original.

The latest version is here mate

cheers, done the backup ftp nfi to computer ready, its a bit big 67mb?is that okay to flash back seems big.

does seem to be a bit on the big side

never really paid attention to size before just backing up now to see size lol

backups always flashed ok though

size here is 57.5mb

I wonder if it backs up H.D as well?ummm.
I am running openpli 3.0 and i only have the essential collection of pluguins

not sure why its as big mate to be honest

maybe ferret will advise better mate once he seen it

Does seem on the large side that mate.

Delete the backup and run it again if it come back the same size then it has to be that size.

Confused, is it Menu, setup, software manager then bakup system settings?

If so where is it stored?

menu> setup> scroll to flashing & backup & select it

I dont see flashing and backup :S
