how can i find out what sim ive got?

ive tried the search button, but 'sim' is either too short or no one has ever posted it before (which i doubt lol) so any chance of a hint or nudge in the right direction please.

all i got was the ip address and stiop, when i pressed again it said #72 and gobbledy gook.

if #69 is OK but #72&75 are not OK > your sim card is ver1
if #72 is OK but #75 is not OK > your sim card is ver2.0
if #75 is OK > your sim card is ver2.01

I was looking for mine the other day, ended up doing the following:

First open a telnet window
then type in ip of dm800 192.168.1.XXX
user is root
default password is dreambox
then type ipkg list and press return


this is dreambox second stage- BL

dreambox-secondstage - 75-r0 - (so this example would be BL75)


Once you know your bootloader, you can find your SIM version by the following:

BL72 is sim 2.0
BL75 or 76 is sim 2.01

open up the box and remove and look at the sim. Does it look like this?

Or if it is sim 2.01 it should say it on it

one of mine was bloader 72
but said sim 2.01 on bottom sticker.

i just took out my sim card, its white with no markings at all! sux!

so it looks like its sim 2.0, it looks like a phone sim card apart from the brass contacts its plain white plastic, no markings at all. does the sim version have any bearing on what image to update to? or is it just the bootloader? does the tuner version got anything to with what image to use?
