Guys Ive got a western digital My Cloud nas drive on my network (hard wired Ethernet cable direct to home hub 4) I want to give it a static ip address to see if it cures a problem Ive been having disconnecting from the network. I can set a static I.P in the home hub software say 192.168.1.77 but it still says DHCP in the Mycloud western digital software,
when I try to set it a static ip in the Mycloud software I get a box popup and I need to fill in the following details
I know I put in 192.168.1.77,
what do I put in for netmask? for the above address
gateway I take it I put in my router address Yes?
Dns 1 and 2, I can put in my BT dns servers Yes?
@Him Her can you help as you know your networking?
