I downloaded OBS on my Macbook Air today, but can't get it to capture/record a window display i.e. record a training film/video on Chrome or Opera.
I have gone into the System Preferences, Security & Privacy, Screen Recording, added OBS, Chrome and Opera, but it still doesn't show up in OBS.
Another problem I have is, when I got frustrated with trying to get the window display and started to clicking at boxes, I managed to pull up 2 split screens, the Preview and Program screen, which appears every time open OBS and even when I delete the app/program, install it and open it again.
It is driving me nuts, please can someone help me!

I have never used OBS but an alternative is to use quicktime to record the screen.

Record your screen in QuickTime Player on Mac
Thanks, I have used QuickTime before but was a bit tricky, no audio and prefer a MKV to MOV recording.

You mean porn I take it lol
I have a Windows laptop for that ;)

I needed 2 laptops to record a "live" Windows virtual training event, just typical of my luck 2 different events were on the same day at the same time, also had a prior engagement during the event.
