right, i found recovery mode ;-)

i put a game in the 'iso' folder and i can see it on the stick, i hit to play and it tries to start then gives me that error message

That error code is because there is no UMD in the drive, or it's not being detected.

what demo UMD did you get? it has to be a game demo and not a video.
does the UMD work ok in the drive?

umd was one came with brothers psp

it plays ok

if i try it with 'no umd' it goes to a black screen when i try and load

in umd disable it and put game in drive
