HELP - fixing RROD ? Whats the best way ??

Hi All

Been asked to repair one of these, told them send it back microsoft but want me to fix.

I have heat gun, toolls etc and even an x-clamp kit here from ages ago.

xclamp fix kit and guides 3 red light problem fixed x clamp kit

Is above the best method.

dont touch it ,it never lasts asive done loads,waste of time and effort
send it backto ms,if it aint been opened the will sort for 80 notes
or tell him get a new one.

cant have been done properly as ive never had any knacker that ive done for myself or others.

Heatgun, thermal and xclamps.

I accept there'll be exception to the rules but not in my case.

I've done friends that have been running fine for over a year and half. Had 2 back twice. Done over 20 fixes, I use the hybrid method.
