I have used them but the one you linked too relies on there being enough power from your source unit if there is not enough it will not work, you would be far better with a Cat5E/6 HDMI sender with power for reliability
I'm using these with CAT 6 cables for my PJ at a distance of 15m,no issues with signal etc

All HDMI is powered either from a TV or a source component such as Satellite receiver or a Blu ray player, And so it is advisable that any HDMI splitter you purchase preferably should be powered also just so that you are not putting any excess stress on component power supplies
I use an ethernet hdmi sender with a 1Gb homeplug but these do depend a bit on the state of your electricity circurt.

I purchased this HDMI extender for my sky HD box. Use it in the second floor. it provides more stable performance, transmit HDMI signal through the router, also have IR signal.
