from cccam to oscam using ubuntu

No you only do that when you are using oscam alone were your clients are using clines

I only posted that because I believe that way is easier. Do away with cccam on the server altogether ;)

Yes I see that now m8 sorry,

For a small set-up it is better using oscam alone,you're right

Just would like him to try the proper CCcam port number in that Cline and see if that was what the problem is,
cant believe I didn't spot that earlier lol

No worries mate. We're all here to help..

I think that's my next challenge though. A Linux setup.... :confused:

Tbh I dont think its worth it for a friends/family set-up, but if sharing with other like minded internationals then maybe ;)

I don't actually run a server mate... I just like pissing about Lol :)

lol yep pissing about with stuff is better then watching the crap they call TV nowadays m8

I tried it in a vm once m8 just to get the feel of it,maybe try that way first?

I had a mess with red hat years ago... running irc bots and the likes.

Messing with glftpd... but like I said that was years ago :confused:

Thanks for all your help, i did manage to get it working earlier this afternoon, and yes it was down to the fact i had the wrong port number, so i really am a complete idiot..
Now its all working i think i will stick with cccam/oscam set up..

Right i have one more problem im sure its a simple fix for you guys :)

How do i add another omnikey reader to the server?

i have another card which has some more entitlements on i want to add to the server. The problem is when i insert the second reader and card the first one doesn't work anymore what am i doing wrong?
I have changed the label name and the device number is that all i need to do or am i way off the mark?
Thanks for all your help so far..

[reader]
label = xxxuk
protocol = pcsc
device = 0
caid = 0963
boxid = xxxxxxx
ecmwhitelist = 0963:3B,3E,42,44,45,47,4B,4E,4F,50,53,54,56,5F,61,62,65,66,67,68,69,6A,6B,6C,6D,6E,6F,70,71,72,73,74,76,77,78,79,7A,7C,7D,7E,80,82,85,8B
detect = cd
mhz = 600
cardmhz = 600
ident = 0963:000000
group = 1,2
emmcache = 1,3,2
blockemm-unknown = 1
blockemm-g = 1
lb_weight = 101

I'm not 100% on this but put the readers into their own group.

Reader 1 group 1
Reader 2 group 2

Then add the users to the groups.

hi hakim from london, i think you posted in the wrong section..

Still not working, im starting to think its not supposed to be :grayno:

Ok So im going to do a recap.

I am using ubuntu 12.04 and have used the automated install script which has installed the oscam/cccam files.

I am using the server to read my cards via oscam and serve using cccam to my existing cline clients 11 in total (friends).

I have added their flines from my old cccam/debian server to the cccam.cfg script in my new ubuntu server.

I have also added the nline script to the cccam.cfg script in ubuntu to link cccam to oscam.

I have changed the port number in the ubuntu cccam.cfg script to match the same port number as my original clines connected to.

I have set up 1 user in the oscam.user to match the same username and password in the nline linking cccam-oscam.

so all i have in oscam.users is 1 user

In my ubuntu cccam.cfg file i have my flines and my 1 nline.

Is that correct so far?

Im using 1 omnikey reader which has the device set to 0 the protocol is pcsc group = 1 and its label = ***uk

If i add another reader do i just need to change the device for the 2nd reader to 1 group = 2 and change the label to ***uk2

and if i was to add a 3rd it would be device for the 3rd reader to 2 group = 3 and change the label to ***uk3

and so on.

If thats correct im stumped as when i do that no readers work.

adding the users to the different groups makes sense to access the different readers but as im using flines in the cccam.cfg script i dont see how all this will work ..
I think ive fried my head with all this and i cant see it for looking..:Dunce::Dunce::Dunce:

Also is it possible to use a smargo with a omnikey. And what is the best readers?
Thanks

Presuming the first omnikey reader is working ok?

Then setup the second and give it device number 1,as you have,make it group 2,

In the oscam.user account make sure the group setting has 1 and 2 in there :)

yes i can get the first one working and last night i even had both readers showing the entitlements in both cards
Then i couldnt get the channels to clear in the VU duo
Messed with a few settings then nothing again.
I would like to think im not totally stupid but this is making me think perhaps i am.
I am starting to dream about configs :grayno:
I have seen lots of configs all over the net and as far as i can tell this should work but it just isnt...
Think i should have just stayed with cccam :(

isnt the VU connecting direct to Oscam with an n line???

example

[reader]
label = whatever
enable = 1
protocol = pcsc
device = 0
caid = 0963
boxid = your boxkey
detect = cd
mhz = 368
cardmhz = 368
ident = 0963:000000
group = 1
emmcache = 1,3,2
blockemm-unknown = 1
blockemm-s = 1
blockemm-g = 1

ident = 0963:000000
group = 2
emmcache = 1,3,2
blockemm-unknown = 1
blockemm-s = 1
blockemm-g = 1

[account]
user =
pwd =
group = 1,2

that dont work??

reader 3 would be group 3
reader 4 would be group 4

etc etc etc

users would be in

group = 1,2,3,4 or whatever you wanted them to be in....

No the vu duo its connecting via a cline now, initially i couldnt get it working via a cline only a nline. (its all very confusing)

i will try your script you just posted after editing and see what happens
