Formula 1 calendar for the 2022 season

The Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix has been cancelled as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.

An F1 statement said it had been agreed at a meeting of stakeholders "that it is impossible to hold the Russian Grand Prix in the current circumstances".
It added that F1 was watching the ongoing situation in Ukraine "with sadness and shock and hopes for a swift and peaceful resolution".

The Russian Grand Prix was due to take place on 25 September in Sochi.
Russian GP off after Ukraine invasion

Russian drivers have been banned from competing in the UK by Britain's national motorsport authority.

It means Nikita Mazepin cannot race in the British Grand Prix even if he continues to be part of the Haas team

Seb Vettel showed how a true F1 world champion behaves at all times, unlike Hamilton, he helped to pick up litter after Silverstone had finished and while I usually disagree with bringing politics into sport, Seb was the one who immediately said that he would not race in Sochi beacuse of the invasion of Ukraine, long before the FIA said that they would ban the race. Hamilton would most likely have been happy to go there, as long as they all wore strange clothing and hairstyles and knelt for twice as long as he used to like everyone to do.

Sebastian Vettel has been ruled out of Sunday's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to Covid-19. The four-time world champion missed the season opener in Bahrain with the virus, and has failed to recover in time for this weekend's race. Vettel will again be replaced by Aston Martin's reserve driver Nico Hulkenberg.
