Ford fiesta mass airflow sensor

Have a 2009 fiesta desiel for few years never had much problem with it only the engine management light has came on on three different occasions when the diagnostic machine is it on it says airflow mass censor so it's been changed twice last time a new one in January few weeks ago it came back on again and same thing few week or so later went off then last week on off again to day surly it can't be sensor again that would be 3 rd time have to say the car just does small journeys to work and to shops no long journeys any suggestions to solve problem would be greatly appreciated

I would imagine the EGR valve will be full of shit and could be sticking and could be the cause but diesel cars on short journeys and you asking for trouble tbh.
Diesels need to have good run every so often but will still eventually get full of shite and lead to several problems.
We had several diesel cars short runs only and they all ended up with problems.
EGR valves on two different cars. Have a petrol now
Maybe try some decent fuel system cleaner and giving it a good thrashing on the motorway and watch all the black soot coming out of the exhaust.
If you’re only ever gonna do short runs the next car you should get should be petrol or electric imo.
