Something is blocking the network firewall, antivirus, another networkcard, etc
disable all off them and set your networkcard to 10baseT_halfduplex and try again.

Thanks for your help, still getting ,elfcopy failed :16
I will try to completely uninstall anti virus and other network card and see if this helps
Also,I should have said ,I am running vista, would this change things?

Ahhh vista
Go here and get the latest version of ifa unistall the others
h**p://www.dboxservice-hallenberg.de/freedownloads.php
Then go to Control panel > Network Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Network Connections
protocol version 6 & 4
disable IPV6 and enable ipv4 and also make sure that IPV4 has been given an inbuilt IP address one below the boxes ip.
Try that.

Thanks, I will try out tomorrow and let you know how I get on
