hi all

hI
am running Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071008 Firefox/2.0.0.8
on 2 pc in the house on xp home sp2
one runs fine the other for some reason has changed from english to a foreign language, don't know what country
this happened today nothing strange happened to the system and nothing new was installed, just appeared when firefox was opened, when i try to search off the page it comes up that with a google warning saying it looks similar to a request from a computer virus or spyware application, and asks for the characters to be entered in the box
have un-installed firefox and re-installed a fresh downloaded version, but the fault still appears.
have tried clearing cookies and cache and a fresh install still the same
has anyone come across this before or know how to cure it ??
thanks in advance for any help

in your address bar type about:config
look for the line called - general.useragent.locale

It should say en-GB

If not, double click that line and enter en-GB

Worth a shot

hi all
ok its sorted now, this is what the problem was

it was the Turkish Google website ( http://www.google.com.tr/ )

this is how it was fixed
Also check your connection settings that you still use a direct connection and not a proxy.
Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
