Hi all,
my much needed RANT
I have a family who are very opinionated and very very annoying and who seem to speak to me as though i am 5. Even though i am 25 have 2 children my own house, car, i am in uni full time, work and do volunteer work for a number of choice organisations. I have often been told by these wise elders((NOT)):SSEXY::SSEXY: that i am "talking rubbish" in so many words and "talking rubbish" is a polite expression trust me. They roll their eyes at the slightest thing and to be honest i would have thought i was doing considerably well holding down uni, work, being a mum of 2, volunteering etc but there you go????
My cousin is an apprentice tool maker and seems to think he is so very ultra techy at every thing, he is so big headed and there is nothing he doesnt know (((NOT))). To cut a long story short he took my childrens wii console to update it????because he was under the impression he was the only 1 for the job. So i let him thinking thats 1 less job for me and i would have been very greatful. However with a big egg on his face :banana:he couldnt seem to master it as i purchased the wii from game pre owned complete with a parental pin code which i did not know.
Then he gave it back to me with a print out from answers.com which made no sense and i understand plain english as well as having the upper hand on the dictionary however i failed to understand the point exactly.
Anyway just being polite and making conversation while at a family gathering i asked if he thought i could put wii games on an external hard drive and was met with the reply "no it will not work" LOL when i know it will and he looked at me like i was a silly child ((((very anoying)))) seen as he is just out of pampers his-self.
Anyway up yours m8 cause ive done the override of the pin code, and updated the wii through wireless connection and im sorting an external hard drive out. So he can put that in his pipe and smoke it.
My parents, siblings, cousins, aunties and uncles have been very defensive of me since i got in to uni like i am some sort of threat. I aint got the foggiest why??? Since i have heaps of very good friends who would bend over backwards for me and likewise.
I know i am the first person in the family to go to university and i have worked HARD having 2 children and working along side my childrens PTA and other volunteer work i do. I get good grades, my children are very happy, confident, secure kids. I cant understand why they wouldnt be more supportive.
They are contantly in competition with each other about salary yet it is not as if anybody in my family are qualified professionals they are just bottom of the scale working class not that theres anything wrong with working class i wouldnt want to sound offensive as i am working class myself at the moment im talking in the context of my family etc
I dont know if this is a spot of the green eyed monster or what.
Enlighten me gyes what on earth do you all think?
All answers will be very much appreciated
and thanx for reading my rant i feel much better for venting on here cant approach my lot they'll bite my head off. LOL
