EUROVOX PVR 5000 help

Hi

I have recently bought an eurovox box however when I unboxed it I plugged it in and followed the instructions to perform a POWER SCAN which i did however it only pikcs up 11 channels (Discovery channels, animal planet and sony TV).

Can someone assist me in how I go about getting alll the channels I am not sure why i cannot get them - Ive tried scanning couple of times now :S

Make sure it is scanning the correct id for your area
You want to scan the highlightes red part of id

i tried scanning on the frequency but still no luck? :S
 
this happens alot for me when i do a first scan i dont get many channels start a power scan from 300 you should pick them all up look for other members in your area someone might have a channel dump for you aswell to save you sorting them all out.
 
you dont need to put any area freq in are anything like that just a straight forwad power scan should pick them all up

and femalie liizzard u said to start at 300 what shall i start at 300?

Please explain a little clearly i wud greatly appreciate yr help?.....im in Sutton/Mitcham area so my code from above would be 40979 531000 6952 but i dont know what to do with this either?

when i go to Power scan it shwos a screen to input frequency etc and symbol mo...?
 
thks scanned this and got 153 channels but there should be more right in the region of 220-320 channels?

how can i get them all?

can someone please help also right at the top of this thread what are the other numbers for? (40979 531000)

I AM TRYING TO plug in the HARD DRIVE but it is quite stiff and i dont want to force it in can somoene tell me which way up it is meant to go is the top (which i can see) meant to be the side where its all silver ?

hi im trying to plug in my hard drive but when i do i try selecting Record or go the MENU and then PVR but it says Hard drive is full or you must install a Harddrive

how do i activate and make it work please help :(

It always says harddrive full when you put a new one in just ignore it and record something thats you sorted

I think the slots are for top ledgit cards m8 but youve got me intrested now lol ive never even botherd to find out

hope you enjoy your new box though ive had mine a few month and love it pvr takes a while to start recording though about 90 seconds apart from that there ok.

Only 1 slot on a eurovox, the card slot is part of the original satellite receiver design before they were modded to work with cable. I have found it does actually work with a funcard with dbox1 files on it on our cable networks

I have a 5000PVR with two lots but both are just moulds and the slots are actually closed (cards wont go in)

Is this normal or should there be cams in the box and the slots be open ?

nah i have 2 there also blocked just case design thats all forget about it lol
 
hi

right i see i will have to check if mine are blocked i thought they were not ...they prob r i will check..

also can someone PM me with how Many channels they get...im only getting 174 channels on the box but it says on the manual there is between 220-320 channels
i removed everything all splitters and tried power scaning but stilll only getting the 173 odd channels please can somoene let me know?

can anyone help when i turn off my box from the REMOTE (red power off/on button) and come back after a certain time (4-5hours) it gets stuck and i cannot see anything on the TV screen when i switch it on...i have to then switch off and then switch back on the button from the box itself and it works again?

This is odd why does this happen? its happened now about 5 times and ive only had box 2-3 days can someone help me please? :(

I sort to have the same problem switch it off from the remote and when you try to switch it back on after a waiting a short while, it will switch on but no picture, I have to switch the PVR off from the switch at back, then back on to get a picture

I have just stopped switching it off as I could not find a answer
