elonex webbook

hi guys

i have just bought one of these and so has a friend of mine

it says that it has 512 ram and supports up to 1 gig but my friend has bought 2 sticks of 1 gig but no matter which one he puts in it it still displays 512?
do we have to do anything to laptop for it to correctly show 1 gig?

Don't know much about them mate but sounds like the BIOS needs reflashed if the new RAM is the correct type. I ain't 100% sure though maybe somebody else will verify.

seems harsh that bios would have to be re flashed tho
