Just read through this thread from the start and it is obvious to anyone that emotions were riding very high at various times. As a football fan (not quite sure I qualify really as a Leeds fan) I was horrified to see the damage done to a player I felt had a terrific future in the game. I sincerely hope he does make a full recovery from the dreadful injury he suffered. I have to say that with Leeds in league 1 now, I can honestly watch the premier league games and enjoy some of the football played by the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea. The passing and movement and just instinctive knowledge where certain players will be is incredible. I can also say that I do recall other horror tackles made by players in the past, including Leeds' players so no point in stating which ones. Leeds may be in league 1 but they are my team, have been for nearly forty years now and I can fully appreciate how I would have been feeling if it had been one of our players when we were doing well.I will probably get banned for saying this, I hope not, but still think I should say it. Wenger has toned down the comments he understandably made in the heat of the moment. There have been a lot of harsh words said in this thread and I do think Bulldog caught the wrong end of it. This is a site where we are encouraged to have an opinion and discussions on all manner of things but we do usually stop short of personal attacks on members. Mickie, have you had a chance to re read the posts Bulldog made, I honestly think it is difficult to be certain about the tackle - I initially thought it was clumsy, my current view is that it was over the top but to be honest, only Taylor knows, for certain, what was in his head at the time and he has got to live with that. Just my thoughts, I'm sure others have had similar thoughts but probably didn't want to post them for fear of a ban. If I cop a ban then so be it but I do think the ban for Bulldog was a bit harsh and I have no vested interest here, I don't know the guy.
Just my thoughts, ramblings, whatever!
