Dumbing down tech

This is really getting annoying now.

Back in the days, tech was tech. When something went wrong you got an error message, which lets you work out whats wrong.
Over the years this has been getting more and more "friendly". To the extent that i was trying to install windows 10 and the error i get is "SOMETHING HAPPENED"

I emant WTF!! Something happened.....ok.......well.....wtf happened?? Wheres the error code? Doesnt even let you go forward or back!

Getting quite peeved off at these companies trying to be user friendly and treating us like babies!

I've had that "Something Went Wrong" error before but it was always to do with a mistake I made trying to sign in with a wrong account
