Hi i have been given a DSI that gives the message "an error has occured press and hold the power button to turn the system off please refer to the nintendo dsi operations manual for details" as soon as i turn it on.

I have searched google for an answer but the only results are for if you try using a flash card with outdated firmware but this happens as soon as i turn the dsi on and without a game in.
I dont know the history of it so im not sure if a flash cart has ever been used or not.

does anyone know if this can be fixed without having to send it back to nintendo?

if there is no catridge in then there is a fault with the console.

could be the pins are bent or damaged.. might be worth check it out...

you could take it apart and check the pins aren't damaged and shorting out...

hi thanks for the reply and advice i took it apart but from what i can see the pins are all fine.
Is there anything else you can sugest to try or is it just fit for the scrap heap?
