Dreambox owner needs help with a starview!

Hi,
Can anybody point me in the direction of sorting out one of these boxes, i am a seasoned dreambox user but do have a clue as to the doings of a starview.

From what i can gather from snippets of threads i have a starview1 and have obtained the au fix 1.5 dated 17/12/2008.
i have a null modem cable.
What software and procedure step by step would be most helpful.

first make sure it is not a clone
connect null cable to pc and starview
start the GTROM loader program
in bin file select the fix file
file type app file only
then press download
you could also upload his channel file data first
then after download fix to box download channel data
then press menu
type in 1570
turn emu on
all should be done

you forgot to say switch on the box after you set gtrom away

and why not just use the clone fix on all starview 1's, as this works on both clone and genuine ones, and therefore you cant knacker any

load up old fix and manual input it works well
