Dreambox 500S Can't get system working??

Hi,
I have tried many images from dw1.6.5, pli garnet, Gemini 4.0 and I still can’t get this box to descramble my S*Y signal, picking up most of the channels but no picture, the channels appear to be locked. Have used dreamup to flash my image, and dream control centre for any plugins that I may have used to update some of the images, but none of this is working.
Should I connect the dreambox to the TV and PC at the same time??
Finding all this very difficult and would appreciate any help, have been at this for over a week now, and I just can’t get my head around it, can someone please help me out.

First off it will not descramble NDS (sly) encrypted channels without a legal card m8, it will descramble certain packages on other satellites such as Astra 19.2 east, hotbird 13 east and thor 1 west using installed emu software such as evocam or ccCam and installed keys.
If you want to watch on a tv then yes connect it to the tv.
