DreamBox 500C Cable Channel Numbers

Hi everyone,

I have just got a Dreambox 500C(able) box with DW Dream UK 1.6 image on it. It gets all N*L channels. What more could I want I hear you ask? Well I want to feed it to my Tivo. Tivo will recognise and control the Dreambox (apparently) but will only recognise the service providers (N*L) channel numbers.

When I scanned for channels, the Dreambox did what most of these boxes do...it allocates channel numbers in an arbitrary manner.

How can I get the Dreambox to use N*L's channel numbering please?

You can't afaik.

I think you can achieve this by editing the bouqets and services files directly but its a lot of manual work involved and I am not sure what would happen if you did a rescan when new channels are added
