download speed on the hub

ok ppl i have 8 slots open on the hub

the download speed is quite slow
now its up to u all
do i leave the slots as they are or do i close some meaning faster downloads for the [ppl who are on?

please post ur comments

and what u all recommend i will do

i say 4 slots m8, the files are more likley to currupt if there downloaded slower bit by bit

I think 4 too David, but keep in mind that some of us are still on 56k modems............hence taking more time to download......not to mention when members are uploading files it cuts our download speed to m/s.......well it does in my case........

how do u set up what speed people download at and chnage the amount of slots. i would rather give people 2 slots at 50kbs rather than 8 slots at 5kbs.

yeah dave i know you have nearly everything people could ask for but they will just have to wait for a free slot

i agree i think 4 is a maximum m8... its better for people who have been waiting for a connection to you... they will get the stuff 4 times faster or more.

and im sure if someone is desperete for soemthing from you then they could ask for an extra slot

tried downloading the other day and told me over 120 hours for one of items ... so I stopped it as bit pointless like that as download speed was slower than from a 56k modem

plus as one of the posts above ,


as more people get the top albums wanted ,

they then multiply and then there are several sources to download from instead of taking up davids bandwith,

and as mickie says


if some one is desparate for an album they can ask the person for an extra slot,

get em while yer can,

because when that ferker Huggi comes on with B.B youll have no chance,

he will be probing everyones slots,

I intend after xmas getting a 100 gig H.D,

thats if david will kindly fit it for me?? lol

ok ppl as from 10 pm tonight i will put the slots down to 4 sorry if u have to wait but this will enable ppl to down load faster ppl at the moment r downing at a max of 6kbs which is not good enough
so please be patient u will get the download u want


o by the way i have seen ppl downing twice of 2 diff hubs
this will not be allowed i will disconect 1
