DM600 probs

hi all watched football saterday afternoon no problem.

looked yesterday to see if there was anything worth watching, when i turned tv on the pic was frozen i changed channel but all i get now is a black screen i have reinstalled the image but still no good, i have tried my old 500s that works no problem.

anybody got any idea ??

I am using the Nabilosat image was working perfect it just stopped

got it sorted i had to remove then reinstall the Tuner then all was good except now i cant tune to Thor lol

drive your motor far one way with the rotor setup page then quickly go into the sat scan page and select thor then scan , hopefully it will catch it then

I have the same problem, if I use Pli Jade I can receive everything except Thor 1W and if I use Nabilo I can recieve everything except 28.2E. I am using the Captains setting and the problem is caused by the channel settings looking for 1W Thor and the satellite.xml file telling it that it is on 0.8W Thor. On Nabilo the 28.2E channels have have changed to 28.4E. Soultion to the problem seems to be to go into the captains settings on dreamboxedit and selecting satellite and editing transponder data ad changing it all from 1W to 0.8W I am trying to do that in dreabedit but I can't seem to be able to edit the satellit data so if you guys fugure it out please post.

just off top of head here, but cant you edit the satellite.xml file from 1.0 to 0.8 for thor or from 28.4 to 28.2 for sly? and then save it back to box and reboot?

Tried that already but it didn't work as it seems there is more than one satellite.xml file. I changed settings in 'transponder edit' on the dreambox and that gave me some of the channels on Thor but nothing on DigitV.

If you look inside your file you will notice that Thor is listed at 1.0W which is fine because that is where the channel settings such the captains settings are expecting it at i.e 1.0W. Unfortunately it seems that Thor is at 0.8W or 0.9W so none of the captains channels on the Thor bouquet can pick anything up because they are misaligned. I am probably barking up the wrong tree but thats my take on the problem.

I have a dm500S running the Nabilosat v8 image and this picks up everything including Thor and Digitv. I saved the boquets and satellite.xml. I have now flashed my dm600 with the Nabilosat v8 image and copied across the boquets from boqueuts and satellite.xml files. At first 28.2E didn't work but after a bit of fiddling about I have now got that working but it says that its on 28.4E. I have managed to get Canal+ working after rescanning and I have also managed to get BBC World on Thor. I just cannot get anything out of Digitv, if anyone has dm600 and has Digitv could they post a backup image or even just the bouquets and satellite files. Thanks.

Is that the Jade image? im using the nabilo image and captins settings and cant hardly get anything like i used 2, i have tried the pli image before and couldnt get anything? will try again.

The image makers have a satellite.xml of their own and on the Nabilo Dm600 image 28.2E is set 28.4E which is why the Captain setting does not find the channels. Also on Nabilo the Digitv is set to 0.9 and on the Pli it is set to 0.8W whereas the Captains got it set to 1.0W. Could be worth trying other channel settings to see which one if any picks up Digitv.

You could try and download the satankey bundle and install that to your box.

ok after trying loads of images yesterday i found 1 that went both east and west to all stats but i was unable to load any cams or the satan onto it. So i copyed the sats.xml i then installed the nabilo darkstar image and copyed over the sats.xml that i had saved earlier, I then checked all sats and was able to get all sats except 1W,21.6E and 28.2E.
i thought that having a working sats.xml then all would work how wrong can 1 be lol
Did i need to copy other files from the working image or should the sats.xml be ok?

The only folder you should really need to copy from your old image are var/keys, var/etc and var/scce. Once you have copied these folders across you should just need to download/reload your cam and channel settings. I have tried a few different images and channel settings and none of them work any better than the Pli Jade which at least is picking up everything except for the Digitv. I am trying to change the channel settings but can't see any way editing even with dreamboxedit the satellite from 1.0W to 0.8W, if we could do that than we will be sorted.
