dm500s without backing up

Is there anyway to block the ability to backup on a dm500s but still retain the ability to FTP to update bouquets using dreamboxedit.....?

Is there anyway to block the ability to backup on a dm500s but still retain the ability to FTP to update bouquets using dreamboxedit.....?

FTP backup is done via Flashwizard, you need port 21 open but if your worried about outside attack you could bock port 21 and 23 to the outside world. Even with this done depending on the router you have should allow ftp over your local lan.

Is it attacks from the outside your worried about ?

Not really outside attack, just want to disable it from the image to stop anyone from being able to take a backup of my image....
